January 2002 - You are the ref
- A player throws the ball in correctly but a strong gust of wind
blows it out of play before anyone gets to it. What is your
decision?
- Instead of a spot to show the place for the ball at a penalty
kick, the groundsman has put a cross. Do you accept it ? (You are
satisfied that the centre of the cross is in the correct place).
- The goalkeeper takes a short goal kick but an opponent runs into
the penalty area, intercepts the ball and kicks it into the net.
Do you award a goal?
- At half-time you are called to the home team's dressing room.
You arrive in time to see one of the visiting players strike a
member of the home team. How do you deal with the situation?
- In a penalty shoot-out scores are still level when ten players
from each side have had a shot. Team A has had a player sent off
so do you allow another player to take the 11th kick?
