March 2003 - You are the ref

1. You notice that the player taking the throw-in has his feet on the touch line with both toes clearly on the field of play. What action do you take?
   
2. The long throw-in goes straight into the opponents’ goal. What is your decision?
   
3. During your pitch inspection you notice the touch line is only about 3-4 metres from the side line of the penalty area. What action do you take?
   
4. Part way through the second half you are forced to abandon a game because of fog when one team is four goals up. Do you award them the game?
   
5. At a penalty shoot-out, the inactive goalkeeper is standing at the junction of the goal area and goal line as the kicker prepares to shoot. Do you allow him to stay there?
