November 2002 - You are the ref

1. Near to the penalty mark the ball strikes one defender and ricochets on to the hand of another, drops nicely to the his feet and he is able to clear amid the attackers’ protests. What action do you take?
   
   
2. As the goalkeeper is about to clear a pass-back near the penalty mark, he is fairly charged by an attacker who gains possession and kicks the ball into the net. Do you award a goal?
   
   
3. The wooden cross bar of one of the goals of the village pitch has been removed and smashed by vandals. The home team offer to remove the other one to allow the game to proceed. Do you agree?
   
   
4. A player comes back on to the pitch near the centre line after injury without getting your permission and handles the ball. What action do you take?
   
   
5. At a penalty shoot-out ('kicks from the penalty mark') one of the teams wants to bring on a substitute. Do you agree?
