November 2003 - You are the ref

1. At a benefit match the organisers want the game to be started by a celebrity.  Do you agree?
   
2. As the ball is clearly about to enter the net a dog runs across the goal mouth, is struck by the ball and a quick-thinking defender boots the ball away.  Do you allow play to go on or award the goal?  
   
3. There is a sudden storm with thunder and lightning.  Do you abandon the match?
   
4. A powerful shot strikes the arm of a team-mate of the kicker and is deflected past the goalkeeper who was well placed to save it.  Do you award a goal?
   
5. A player outside the penalty area when a goal kick is being taken is deliberately tripped before the ball has gone beyond the area.  What does the referee do?
