Life Membership is awarded to any member who has given long (20 years has served as a guideline and is embodied in rule 3) and distinguished service to Reading RA as a committee member, of which at least 10 years has been as an officer. By definition this is a rare award because of the tightly drawn criteria and, as the title suggests, once made it never lapses.
