Open meeting – February 2013
It’s our monthly meeting this Thursday 21 February, 7.45pm as usual at the Earley Home Guard Social Club, Pitts Lane, Earley, Reading RG6 1B
After January’s lively and entertaining meeting with Ray Olivier, we have another “full-blooded session” to look forward to this month with Jeff Pettitt, the Renegade Referee. We are very pleased to welcome back Jeff, MD of A&H International and an old friend of ours. Those of you that have seen Jeff before will know that his sessions are always look at things from an interesting angle, are thought provoking and fun. His title for this visit is “Achieving Greatness With Simple Steps!”
Jeff started refereeing in 1983 and reached Level 2 status as a referee and was also a Premier League Assistant for a good number of years. He is now passionate about developing up and coming referees and has been the Referees Academy Director at Charlton Athletic since 1999. Interestingly he has used his coaching techniques to coach 4 PGA Golf Professionals on the European Tour as well as Sidcup Rugby Club.
As usual, we will have our ‘Talking Point’ for anyone to raise any interesting/unusual incident to share with the members.
